LIPOSUCTION
Our CODE GREY liposuction garments and fajas are designed for compression after liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lifts. Most plastic surgeons will recommend wearing a compression garment after liposuction for 2 to 6 weeks.
We understand that the longer you wear a compression garment, the better the results after liposuction. Selecting the correct compression garment size is important.
stages of recovery
01
Day of surgery
Up to 2 weeks post-surgery
It might be surprising to know that you will not be smaller immediately after liposuction. We know that it sounds crazy because they are removing fat. But your plastic surgeon will inject a fluid called tumescent underneath the skin prior to removing fat. You will still have some of that fluid under your skin after your procedure is over.
The compression garment that you need on the day of surgery should be tight but not smaller than your current size. If your day of surgery garment is too small, then it will be very difficult to put on after surgery. You should be able to breathe comfortably. The garment should not dig into your abdomen when you are sitting down.
02
2-8 weeks post surgery
A second compression garment will be needed at around 2 weeks after your procedure. This compression garment will be smaller than your FIRST STAGE garment. It should be fitted and comfortable for everyday wear to help reduce any fluid accumulation.
Wearing a compression garment at this stage of recovery is proven to improve your results after liposuction.
